And even if it weren’t a trilogy, it is still a mystery-thriller book. I gave the first book a 5/5 because it is THE perfect introduction to a trilogy. A lot of adults and officials were involved, and people’s secrets were unveiled. Long story short, this EPQ project turned into something more. She is very determined to prove that Sal Singh (don’t worry, this isn’t a spoiler LOL), the accused, is not the actual killer of Andie Bell. Pip, being the true-crime fan that she is, decided to re-investigate a closed murder case that occurred in their town 5 years ago. In this book, she was a year 12 student (if I’m not mistaken), and they had to do this project called the “EPQ project” (forgot what it was exactly called but all I remember is EPQ so just go along with it please 😭) where they can research or investigate anything or anybody.

To add more to that, she’s also a true-crime fan. She is your typical straight-A student, a very intelligent, and diligent woman. In the first book, we are introduced to our main character, Pipa Fitz Amobi, otherwise known as “Pip”.

My review for this trilogy is quite lengthy so, I decided to mash them all up. Perfect for fans of One of Us Is Lying, Eva Dolan, C L Taylor, We Were Liars and Riverdale.
